A Taste of the Future
As a result of the climate crisis, it is difficult not to wonder what nutritional changes are called for, so humans may survive. What will be the role of insects, mushrooms, and seaweed in our nutrition? What techniques will we use to prepare our food, and how can we enrich our nutrition by using other senses?
Human nutrition throughout the years has been based on living beings and the relationship between our food products and their sources. Fungi, algae, and insects are part of the delicate ecosystem that exists on Earth, and we depend on each other. The dialogue between man and those who are not human is necessary to preserve our reciprocity with the world. Our impact on the environment emphasizes how intimate this connection is.
An interactive, AI-Powered Sensory Exhibition
In the Design Lab, we explored the future of our food through the prism of the senses by presenting two works:
"The Feast" - based on a work that was first presented at the design week in Eindhoven on October 23 and was invited to take part in the exhibition.
"And so forth" - An interactive video installation created especially for the exhibition.
